Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the MC Seed Map website (mcseedmap.com) processes information when you visit the site, use the map, read guides, or email support. The service is operated by Gio Nui as an independent project.

It applies to ordinary website visitors. It does not turn Minecraft itself into a data processor for your offline worlds. The map tool runs in your browser; your single-player world files stay on your device unless you choose to share them elsewhere.

Biome and structure calculations for the main map run locally in browser workers. The seed you type into the map is used on your device to generate the view you requested. The core map workflow is designed so that seed is not uploaded to a remote map-rendering server operated by MC Seed Map.

If you share a map URL, the seed and view parameters are present in that link the same way any shareable URL contains query information. Anyone with the link can open the same view. Do not share seeds you want to keep private.

Technical data: IP address, user-agent, browser type, device category, approximate region derived from network routing, request timestamps, referrer, and pages requested. Hosting and security providers need this class of data to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

Usage analytics: page views, feature usage patterns, performance timings, and similar aggregate metrics used to understand whether the site is working and which content is useful.

Preference data: language or locale choices, theme, and similar settings may be stored in cookies or local storage on your device.

Support messages: if you email support@mcseedmap.com, we receive the content of the message, your email address, and any attachments or coordinates you include so we can investigate and reply.

MC Seed Map may use Google Analytics to understand visits, device categories, performance, and feature usage. Google processes this information under its own privacy policy and data practices.

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site. Cloudflare may process IP addresses, request metadata, and security signals to serve content, mitigate attacks, and keep the service available.

Logs are retained only as long as needed for operations, security, debugging, and legal obligations, then discarded or aggregated according to the provider’s and operator’s retention practices.

Cookies or local storage may remember interface preferences such as theme or locale. These are functional preferences rather than a login profile.

MC Seed Map works with Journey by Mediavine to manage third-party programmatic advertising. Journey by Mediavine and its advertising partners may use cookies, pixels, identifiers, and similar technologies to deliver, personalize, measure, and optimize advertising, subject to applicable consent choices.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may reset preferences or affect how ads are shown, but the core seed map still works without an account.

Cloudflare for hosting, CDN, and security. Google Analytics for site analytics. Journey by Mediavine for programmatic advertising, monetization, and measurement.

Popular Seeds and guides may link to Reddit, GitHub, wiki pages, or other external sites. Those destinations have their own privacy practices. MC Seed Map does not control what you submit on third-party platforms.

MC Seed Map is a general Minecraft planning site. It is not directed at children under the age required by applicable advertising or privacy laws in your region. Do not send personal information about a child in a support email if you are not authorized to do so.

You may request correction or deletion of personal information contained in a support conversation by emailing support@mcseedmap.com, subject to legal and security obligations (for example, we may keep limited records of abuse reports).

Because the main map does not create a user account, there is no password profile to download. Seed numbers you only typed into the local tool are not stored by MC Seed Map as an account database.

For analytics or advertising choices offered by Google, use Google’s own account and ad settings tools in addition to browser controls.

The site is delivered over the public internet. Technical data may be processed in the regions used by Cloudflare, Google, and related infrastructure. By using the site, you understand that network routing can cross borders.

This policy may be updated when features, providers, laws, or advertising setup change. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change when material edits are published. Continued use of the site after an update means the revised policy applies to later visits.
